MITOSIS

Mitosis was commissioned by Kallida Festival in 2018, inspired by the theme of kaleidoscope.

This piece explores the recurring symmetries and patterns found in nature, reflecting the idea that nature itself is a constantly shifting kaleidoscope of repeating forms.

At its core, Mitosis represents a structured cell in transformation. It twists, contorts, and evolves, visually traveling through the stages of mitosis until it ultimately divides, creating two identical yet distinct entities, mirroring the ever-changing yet inherently connected patterns of the natural world.
